When disaster strikes veterans spring into action! It's in our blood, even when military service end, patriotism and desire to serve our community endures. This was displayed when our community was rocked by Hurricane Harvey in the fall of 2017. Veterans from around the country left their homes, families, and jobs to risk their lives saving others. It was a very humbling experience.
Many veterans, through their career, have specialized training in critical skills needed in the event of a disaster. As a part of our Operator's Club we will be forming a Disaster Response Team (DRT). The DRT will be a volunteer team that trains regularly and has the capability to deploy to disaster areas in the Gulf Region. Initially, with limited resources, we will focus on aid collection planning, first aid, and security. As the company and resources grow, we will move into a more complex mission, utilizing member skills such as EMT, Rescue Diver, Aviator, and others to expand our capabilities.
If you are in the Houston area and are interested in being a part of the DRT, feel free to head over to the CONTACT US page and let us know.
Be sure to follow us on social media as we will announce updates as we get closer to launching the Operator's Club and DRT.
